BECOME A
STATESMAN GUIDE

Help Build the Next Generation of Godly Men

There comes a time in a Christian man's life when what God has taught him is meant to be invested in another man.

The Statesman's Forum is developing a network of mature Christian men who are willing to walk alongside other men as they grow in faith, character, responsibility, leadership, and biblical manhood.

We call these men Statesman Guides.

The Biblical Calling: Spiritual Fatherhood

A Statesman Guide is more than a mentor. He is a trusted Christian brother who listens, encourages, challenges, prays, shares biblical wisdom, and helps another man faithfully apply God's Word to everyday life.

The heart behind the Statesman Guide role is Spiritual Fatherhood. The Apostle Paul described this kind of relationship when he wrote:

"For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers..."  1 Corinthians 4:15, NKJV

Many men have heard sermons, attended Bible studies, and received instruction. Far fewer have had a mature Christian man personally walk beside them—someone who knows them, prays for them, encourages them, challenges them, and helps them become the men God has called them to be.

The Statesman's Forum seeks to help restore that kind of relationship between men.

What Does A Statesman Guide Do?

A Statesman Guide walks alongside a Statesman Disciple through intentional, Christ-centered relationship.

A Guide helps a man:

  • Grow deeper in his relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Develop biblical character and integrity.

  • Apply Scripture to real-life decisions.

  • Strengthen personal discipline and responsibility.

  • Become a stronger husband, father, and family leader.

  • Develop wisdom and discernment.

  • Navigate challenges, failures, and difficult seasons.

  • Discover opportunities to serve and lead.

  • Become prepared to invest in other men.

The objective is not dependency upon the Guide. The objective is spiritual maturity and multiplication.

Who Should Consider Becoming A Statesman Guide?
  • We are looking for mature Christian men who demonstrate:

  • A genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Respect for the authority of Scripture.

  • Christian character and integrity.

  • Spiritual maturity and humility.

  • Faithfulness in family and personal responsibilities.

  • A willingness to listen before speaking.

  • The ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality.

  • A teachable spirit.

  • A desire to help another man grow.

  • Willingness to complete Statesman Guide training and operate within established ministry safeguards.

Men from many backgrounds may qualify.

Pastors. Businessmen. Tradesmen. Veterans. Fathers. Grandfathers. Retired men. Community leaders. Ministry leaders. Professionals.

God can use the experiences of a faithful man's life to strengthen another man.

You Don't Have To Have All The Answers

Statesman Guides are not expected to be pastors, theologians, counselors, or perfect men.

They are expected to be faithful men.

Men who have walked with Christ, learned through both victories and failures, developed biblical wisdom, and are willing to invest what God has taught them into another man's life.

A Statesman Guide should be willing to say: "Follow me as I follow Christ."

FROM DISCIPLESHIP TO MULTIPLICATION

Reach • Root • Release • Reproduce

The Statesman's Forum follows a simple biblical progression:

01

REACH

Reach

Invite men into authentic Christian brotherhood and introduce them to a deeper relationship with Christ.

02

ROOT

Root

Establish men in Scripture, biblical character, spiritual disciplines, responsibility, and Christian brotherhood.

03

RELEASE

Release

Equip mature men to live out their calling in their families, churches, workplaces, communities, and areas of influence.

04

REPRODUCE

Reproduce

Prepare faithful men to invest what they have learned into the lives of other men.

This is where the Statesman Guide becomes especially important.

The goal is not simply to produce better-informed men.

The goal is to develop men who develop other men.

"And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."

2 Timothy 2:2, NKJV

A Legacy Worth Leaving

Success is not measured only by what a man accomplishes during his lifetime. It is also measured by what continues through the lives of the men he has influenced.

  • Your experiences.

  • Your victories.

  • Your failures.

  • Your lessons.

  • Your testimony.

  • Your knowledge of God's faithfulness.

They may become part of another man's foundation. And someday, that man may do the same for someone else.
